GEDON Executive is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented SMP (Structural, Mechanical, and Piping) Estimator to join a leading organisation in Brisbane, Queensland. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a crucial role in securing significant projects across various sectors.

As a SMP Estimator, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of cost estimates for a wide range of structural, mechanical, and piping works, ensuring competitive and profitable bids.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare comprehensive and accurate cost estimates for SMP components of major projects.
  • Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to determine scope and requirements.
  • Obtain and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Develop detailed bills of quantities and pricing schedules.
  • Identify and assess potential risks and opportunities within the estimate.
  • Collaborate closely with bid teams, including engineering, procurement, and project management.
  • Present clear and concise cost estimates and reports to senior management.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of current market rates and industry trends within the Australian SMP sector.

  • Proven track record of successfully estimating SMP works for large-scale projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of SMP materials, fabrication processes, and installation methodologies.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant estimating software and tools.
