Responsibilities:
- Conducting comprehensive project estimation from initial concept through to detailed bid submission.
- Analyzing project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for estimations.
- Utilizing industry-standard software such as CostX or Cubit to prepare detailed quantity take-offs and pricing.
- Researching and evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure competitiveness and accuracy.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and other industry partners.
- Providing support during the tendering process, including bid preparation, submission, and negotiation.
- Assisting with cost planning and value engineering efforts to optimize project budgets and timelines.
- Performing post-tender analysis to identify areas for improvement and inform future estimating practices.
These responsibilities encompass the full spectrum of estimating duties, ensuring that our client's projects are meticulously planned and executed to the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Degree Qualified in Construction or Quantity Surveying
- At least 5 years Construction Experience in Australia
- Experience in estimating within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in software such as CostX or Cubit.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment.
