Criteria for the Role

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within a Tier 1 main contractor environment.

Excellent commercial, financial, and negotiation skills with a track record of driving profitable outcomes.

Responsibilities

Oversee full financial and commercial management of major packages or project phases, including budgets, forecasting, and CVRs.

Administer main contracts and subcontracts, ensuring compliance with contract conditions and commercial procedures.

Lead subcontract procurement, tender analysis, contract negotiation, interim payment processes, and final accounts.

Identify, measure, value, and negotiate variations and claims to ensure full commercial entitlement and timely resolution.

Actively manage commercial and contractual risks across all stages of the project lifecycle.

Provide mentorship to junior commercial staff and prepare detailed commercial reports for senior leadership review.
Criteria for the Role

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a Tier 1 or major main contracting environment in Ireland or the UK.

Strong exposure to large-scale, complex building projects, ideally €50M+.

High-level commercial, financial, and negotiation skills with the ability to drive profitable outcomes.

Strong knowledge of standard construction contracts used in the Irish market, including RIAI and GCCC.

Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.

Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics.
