What They Are Looking For

They are seeking a Commercial Manager to oversee multiple project sites across West Dublin and surrounding counties. This is a senior-level appointment, reporting directly to the Commercial Director and working closely with Project Directors and Site Leads. The role sits at the heart of commercial governance across a diverse portfolio of active projects.

The mandate for this hire is clear: strengthen commercial oversight across major pharmaceutical, commercial and secure infrastructure projects while supporting continued business growth. The successful candidate will drive commercial strategy, ensure robust cost control across live sites, mentor project-level QS teams and act as a key commercial interface with clients and subcontractors.

This opportunity will suit a commercially astute senior professional with 10+ years’ experience within the Irish contractor or consultancy market—someone confident operating in regulated environments and capable of balancing board-level reporting with hands-on commercial leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead commercial governance across multiple live project sites
  • Oversee cost planning, budgeting and financial forecasting
  • Manage CVRs and monthly commercial reporting to senior leadership
  • Drive procurement strategy and subcontractor negotiation
  • Ensure effective contract administration across regulated project environments
  • Mitigate commercial risk and manage change control processes
  • Oversee final accounts and dispute resolution where required
  • Mentor and develop site-based Quantity Surveying teams
  • Maintain strong client and consultant relationships
  • Support tender reviews and pre-construction commercial input

Criteria for the Role

  • 10+ years’ experience within the Irish contractor or consultancy market
  • Proven experience on large-scale pharmaceutical, commercial or secure infrastructure projects
  • Strong commercial awareness and contract management capability
  • Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring commercial teams
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or similar
  • Experience managing projects up to €40m in value
  • Excellent stakeholder and client-facing communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of Irish construction contracts and procurement routes
