What They Are Looking For

The business is seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join its growing Dublin-based commercial team. Reporting to the Senior QS and working closely with the Commercial Director, this role will support the delivery of multiple live projects across remediation, retrofit, and new-build environments.

The position has become available due to project wins and company expansion. The successful candidate will gain exposure across both pre-contract and post-contract stages, contributing to cost control, procurement, valuations, and subcontractor management while building a strong commercial foundation.

This opportunity will suit an ambitious early-career QS who is keen to develop within a supportive but fast-paced contractor environment, working across office and site locations within Dublin.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the commercial management of projects valued up to €4.5m.

• Support preparation of cost plans, valuations, and monthly commercial reports.

• Assist with subcontractor procurement, package comparisons, and appointments.

• Carry out site measurements to support valuation and variation processes.

• Monitor project costs and support change control documentation.

• Liaise with site teams and estimators to ensure commercial alignment from tender to delivery.

• Assist with preparation of subcontractor payment certificates and final accounts.

Criteria for the Role

• 1–3 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role within a contractor environment.

• Exposure to building projects such as remediation, retrofit, or small-scale new build.

• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn in a structured commercial setting.

• Good communication skills and confidence working across office and site environments.

• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics (or working toward).
