Job Description

GEDON Executive is seeking a skilled and driven Planner to join a prominent and expanding construction or consultancy firm in Brisbane. This is an outstanding opportunity for a professional to play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of diverse and impactful projects across the region.

As a Planner, you'll be instrumental in supporting project teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to the highest standards. Your expertise will be vital in developing, monitoring, and reporting on project schedules and performance to senior management and clients.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Planning & Scheduling: Develop and maintain project schedules using software like Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project. Track progress against the baseline and forecast future performance.

  • Programme Management: Manage and update project programmes to reflect on-site progress, changes, and delays.

  • Risk & Opportunity Management: Identify potential scheduling risks and opportunities, providing proactive solutions to keep projects on track.

  • Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive project performance reports, including critical path analysis and earned value analysis (EVA).

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, quantity surveyors, site teams, and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals.

 

What You'll Bring

 

  • Proven Experience: Demonstrable experience as a Planner within the Australian construction industry. Experience gained from a contractor or consultancy is highly valued.

  • Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge of planning software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project is essential.

  • Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical skills with a meticulous eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • Commercial Awareness: A solid understanding of how planning impacts project costs and commercial outcomes.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.

  • Qualifications: A relevant degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
