As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of construction projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness, contractual compliance, and successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all quantity surveying aspects of construction projects from inception to final account.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts.
- Administer contracts, including procurement, tendering, and valuation of variations.
- Monitor and control project costs, ensuring projects are delivered within budget.
- Identify and mitigate potential commercial risks.
- Liaise effectively with project teams, clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare and present cost reports and financial statements.
- Mentor and guide junior members of the quantity surveying team.

- Extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing the commercial aspects of projects.
- Strong understanding of construction costs, procurement processes, and contract administration.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- MRICS or equivalent professional qualification is highly desirable.
- A valid UK driving license and willingness to travel to project sites across the UK may be required depending on the specific role.
