About the Role

As a Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our client's Cost Management team in Sydney. You will be responsible for overseeing a team of highly skilled professionals, driving business development initiatives, and delivering outstanding results on complex projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the strategic direction for the Cost Management team, aligning with the overall business objectives.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of cost management professionals.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, proactively identifying and addressing their needs.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, developing and implementing effective business development strategies.
  • Financial Performance: Oversee the financial performance of the Cost Management team, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide expert advice and guidance on complex cost management issues, including risk analysis, value engineering, and cost control strategies.
  • Innovation: Encourage innovation and continuous improvement within the team, exploring new technologies and approaches to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the delivery of high-quality work, adhering to industry best practices and standards.

    Skills and Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 15 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying, Estimating, or Cost Planning role.
  • A proven track record of success in leading and managing high-performing teams.
  • Strong technical skills and expertise in cost management principles, methodologies, and software (CostX proficiency is a must).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional client service and exceeding expectations.
