What They Are Looking For
The business is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team based in Co. Wexford. Reporting to senior commercial leadership, this role will take ownership of the commercial delivery of projects across a varied pipeline within the South-East region.
This position has been created to support ongoing project delivery and future growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full commercial lifecycle, including cost planning, procurement, contract administration, and financial reporting, while working closely with project and site teams.
This opportunity will suit an experienced QS looking to step into a senior position with increased responsibility, strong leadership visibility, and a clear pathway toward commercial management.

Responsibilities
- Manage the commercial delivery of projects from pre-contract through to final account.
- Prepare and oversee cost plans, budgets, and financial forecasts.
- Lead procurement processes, including subcontractor negotiation and appointment.
- Administer contracts and manage variations in line with RIAI, PWC, or NEC forms.
- Monitor project performance and provide detailed commercial reporting to senior management.
- Manage subcontractor accounts, valuations, and payment processes.
- Identify and mitigate commercial risks across projects.
- Liaise with project teams, clients, and consultants to ensure alignment throughout delivery.
Criteria for the Role
- 7+ years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role within a main contractor environment.
- Strong experience across building projects such as residential, education, healthcare, or commercial.
- Solid knowledge of RIAI, Public Works Contracts, or NEC forms.
- Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics.
- Professional accreditation (SCSI or RICS) advantageous.
- Strong communication, commercial awareness, and stakeholder management skills.
