What They Are Looking For

Due to continued project wins and sustained growth, our client is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to play a key role across major infrastructure projects in Brisbane and the wider region. This position suits a technically strong QS who enjoys working at the sharp end of cost planning, estimating and commercial problem-solving on complex civil assets.

You’ll work closely with senior leaders and project teams, taking ownership of CostX-based take-offs, detailed estimating, and cost reporting, while contributing to broader commercial strategy and client-facing delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading detailed cost estimating and cost planning across major infrastructure projects

• Delivering high-quality CostX take-offs, benchmarking and cost analysis

• Supporting feasibility studies, optioneering and early-stage cost advice

• Preparing and managing tender documentation and contractor evaluations

• Providing commercial and cost risk advice to clients and project teams

• Producing accurate cost reports, forecasts and cash flow analysis

• Managing post-contract cost control, variations and change management where required

• Building strong relationships with clients, consultants and delivery partners

Criteria

• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil/infrastructure projects

• Strong technical capability in CostX, with demonstrable cost estimating expertise

• Background in sectors such as transport, utilities, energy, resources or major civils

• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or similar

• Strong commercial acumen and confident client-facing communication

• Consultancy or client-side experience preferred (but not essential)
