  • Contract Administration: Expertly administer construction contracts, typically the RIAI or GCCC forms common in the Irish market. Ensure strict compliance with all contractual correspondence, notifications, and obligations.

  • Subcontractor Management: Lead the procurement, negotiation, and detailed final account settlement of all major subcontracts, ensuring technical and commercial alignment with project specifications and securing best value.

  • Change Control & Claims: Proactively identify, measure, value, and negotiate variations and claims with the client/PQS, ensuring full commercial entitlement is secured and providing necessary contractual justification.

  • Risk & Opportunity: Implement robust risk management procedures, identifying and mitigating commercial risks while actively exploiting opportunities to maximise project profit margins.

  • Mentorship: Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to Intermediate and Graduate Quantity Surveyors within the project commercial team.

What You'll Bring

  • Acumen & Leadership: Exceptional financial management and analytical skills, with a proven track record of controlling costs and driving profitability. Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills are essential.

  • Contractual Knowledge: Expert working knowledge of standard forms of construction contracts used in Ireland, particularly the RIAI or GCCC suites.

  • Qualifications: A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics. Progress towards, or achievement of, SCSI or MRICS chartership is highly desirable.
