GEDON Executive is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Estimator to join a leading construction company on the Gold Coast. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate, competitive, and comprehensive tenders that are crucial to the company's continued success. You will work on a variety of projects, ensuring their commercial viability from the initial stages.

Key Responsibilities

• Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed cost estimates for a range of construction projects, including residential, commercial, and other key sectors in the region.

• Tender Management: Conduct a thorough analysis of all tender documents, specifications, and drawings to identify project scope, requirements, and potential risks.

• Procurement: Actively engage with a strong network of subcontractors and suppliers to obtain and evaluate competitive quotations.

• Risk & Value: Proactively identify and assess commercial risks and opportunities, providing expert advice on value engineering options.

• Collaboration: Work closely with the bid team, project managers, and senior leadership to develop a winning commercial strategy.

• Presentation: Prepare and present clear, concise, and compelling tender submissions and commercial proposals.

What You'll Bring

• Proven Experience: Demonstrable experience as an Estimator within the Australian construction industry.

• Sector Diversity: A strong background in one or more of the specified sectors is highly valued.

• Commercial Acumen: Exceptional analytical and numerical skills with a meticulous attention to detail.

• Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in estimating software (e.g., CostX, Cubit, Buildsoft) and Microsoft Excel.

• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively.

• Qualifications: A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
