Responsibilities:
- Lead cost management activities for assigned projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Develop and maintain cost plans, forecasts, and budgets with a high degree of accuracy.
- Manage the procurement process, including soliciting quotes, negotiating contracts, and managing subcontracts.
- Analyze risks and opportunities relating to costs and develop mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including project managers, architects, and contractors.
- Prepare and manage project documentation related to costs, contracts, and procurement.
- Monitor and control project expenses, identifying and addressing cost overruns.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of cost management processes within the company.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction cost management with a proven track record of success.
- Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field (preferred).
- Strong understanding of construction procurement processes and contract administration.
- Expertise in cost estimating, budgeting, and cost control techniques.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in cost management software (e.g., CostX, Primavera).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
