Our client is an ASX listed, blue-chip organisation with over 500 employees across New Zealand.

Due to projected growth and forecasted billion-dollar CAPEX program of works, the business is seeking to strengthen its project controls department with the addition of an Infrastructure Risk Manager to join an expert team and take a lead on managing a central risk management function.

Working environment

Our client is currently recruiting an Infrastructure Risk Manager to join their well-established project controls function within the Auckland office to help develop and drive their central risk management function for the infrastructure business unit and reputation in the market, working on high profile projects.

This is an exciting opportunity for a high calibre individual to join and strengthen their team, working on a range of projects. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a measured and articulate individual to take ownership and facilitation of risk and opportunity management procedures, processes, and outputs at project, program and portfolio levels.

A dynamic and multi-faceted opportunity, this role will involve elements of major cost, time and risk analysis support to projects as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Ownership and oversight of issue, risk and opportunity management standards, processes and consolidated reporting for the infrastructure business unit
• Implementation, maintenance and training for issue, risk and opportunity tools and systems.
• Using experience and industry best practice to add value through actively contributing to the ongoing optimisation of the programme and project risk and opportunity (R&O) position.
• Ownership of the alignment of infrastructure risk management processes, procedures, and outputs within the context of the wider Auckland Airport risk management framework.
• Providing cost, time and risk analysis support to projects as required.

Required for the position:

• Strong track record in risk advisory, analysis and management within a construction environment – infrastructure or building
• Project Risk and Opportunity software implementation experience.
• Previous experience leading Risk workshops.
• Proven ability to build relationships at all levels within an organisation.
• Proven ability to exercise sound and independent judgment in a variety of different situations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, administrative and organisational skills
• Strategic thinker with the ability to see the big picture, balancing short and long-term objectives
