As a Senior Cost Planner, you will be instrumental in ensuring the commercial viability of projects from their earliest stages. You'll work on a diverse portfolio of complex building developments, preparing detailed cost plans, budgets, and feasibility studies that are critical to securing and delivering major projects in the Brisbane market.

Key Responsibilities

• Cost Planning & Estimating: Lead the preparation of comprehensive and accurate cost plans, feasibility studies, and detailed estimates for a variety of large-scale building projects.

• Tender Management: Conduct a thorough analysis of all tender documents, specifications, and drawings to identify project scope, requirements, and potential risks.

• Procurement Strategy: Advise on and develop procurement strategies to ensure commercial competitiveness and efficiency.

• Risk & Value: Proactively identify and assess commercial risks and opportunities, providing expert advice on value engineering options to optimize project costs without compromising quality.

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with the bid team, senior leadership, design consultants, and clients to develop a winning commercial strategy.

• Market Analysis: Maintain an up-to-date understanding of market trends, material costs, and labour rates to ensure the accuracy of all cost plans.

What You'll Bring

• Extensive Experience: Proven experience (typically 7+ years) in a senior cost planning or estimating role, with a strong background gained from a Tier 1 building contractor.
