As a Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all commercial aspects of a portfolio of projects. You will provide strategic guidance to project teams, ensure profitable delivery, and act as a key figure in the company's senior management, influencing business strategy and client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Commercial Leadership: Oversee the commercial function for all projects within your portfolio, ensuring commercial excellence and profitability.

• Strategic Planning: Contribute to the strategic growth of the business, identifying new market opportunities and improving commercial processes.

• Financial Management: Take full responsibility for project and portfolio financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to senior leadership.

• Contract Administration: Provide high-level guidance on all contractual matters, including claims, variations, and dispute resolution.

• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Managers, fostering a high-performance culture.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, partners, and subcontractors.

What You'll Bring

• Extensive Experience: Proven experience (typically 10+ years) in a senior commercial role, such as Commercial Manager or Regional Commercial Manager, within the UK construction industry.

• Leadership Acumen: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and manage diverse teams.

• Commercial Prowess: Exceptional commercial awareness and financial management abilities.

• Contractual Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of various standard forms of construction contracts.

• Qualifications: A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related field. Professional accreditation (e.g., MRICS) is highly desirable.
